Lesl Harker, (pronounced Less'L)
Irish traditional music instructor and player of the Irish concert flute. Teaches the fluid old-style music of East County Galway. She serves and has served as a Master for the PA, NJ and SC State Arts Councils' Apprenticeship programs.
Complete profile
"When I started lessons with Lesl, I was new to the flute and traditional Irish music, and I was unsure if online music lessons would work. I found that Lesl is an ideal Irish flute teacher. Her years of study with Mike Rafferty has given her a level of ability that is authentic and refined. She is passionate about her craft.
As a teacher, she is caring and organized, excellent at mapping my progress and is a keen troubleshooter. After one year and several months of lessons, I am able to play at sessions with other musicians and my repertoire of tunes is rich and growing. And I'm now convinced that online music lessons can be very convenient and effective! I give my highest recommendations for lessons with Lesl." - Jason Benjamin 2025
